The Regeneration Federation is a cooperative of cooperatives that is dedicated to accelerating businesses and non-profits that regenerate the ecosystems, communities, and economies in which they operate.

Cooperatives provide a one-member-one-vote structure rather than a one-share-one-vote structure and are controlled by a class of member-owners who are also doing business with the cooperative. This ensures that the purpose of the cooperative is to serve its members, not to maximize profits to shareholders. We do provide our shareholders some voting power to incentives engagement, but it is less than 50% of the total voting power.

Member Cooperatives of the Regeneration Federation are provided a variety of business support services including Regenerative Enterprise Certification and consulting. Non-cooperative business may also join the federation by being members of our member cooperatives and are eligible for these same services. Our focus is on producer cooperatives to help entrepreneurs who want to start regenerative enterprises, though other types of cooperatives may be members as well.

The purpose of this two-layer membership is to help businesses of the same type work together effectively. For example, farmers can join the Crop Share Co-op and get business support specific to their needs. Landscapers and gardeners-for-hire can likewise join Reinhabit Cooperative. We plan to accelerate more cooperatives to serve other types of businesses in the future. Until then, other types of businesses may join Earthling Enterprises as a general business incubator.
